So my boyfriend and I had been discussing getting a puppy, a female and what we wanted to name her. Then, I was on my Facebook newsfeed when I noticed a friend was selling puppies. Believe me, I understand people’s opinions about not only pit bulls, but selling and breeding them.

Anyways, she got her puppy pack shots on Monday and she weighed 6 pounds already. Her temperature was normal, 101 and she had a heart rate of 108 (I think that was what the vet was saying to the other vet). She slept a lot afterwards which the vet said would happen. They also gave her a nail trim. I have to take her to get her puppy pack 2 in 3 weeks. The vet also gave me a 1 month supply of heart guard.

Maya and my boy dog, Roscoe, are getting along great. Roscoe is a blue/red nose pit-bull and he was born in September of 2013. Roscoe was my Christmas present and we got him at 8 weeks old. Maya is only 6 weeks old when we got her which made me a little worried because she was away from her mother so early. I fed her milk replacer and I have been feeding her soft dog food (mix with water and little champions). It is much easier this time around raising a puppy since we have tile instead of carpet. With Roscoe, we had to pay the apartment we lived in for the carpet repair which was very expensive, on top of moving out since we had a pit-bull.

Today, I walked into the living room and saw Maya had pooped but I also saw her sleeping and she had a big poop stain on her back from falling into it I guess. So, tonight I gave her, her first bath. She hated it! I don’t remember Roscoe hating his bath that much. She was crying and trying to climb out of the tub.

Well, I think that is enough blogging for tonight. I will watch Walking Dead on AMC.com since everyone is talking about it so much.
