My spring cleaning was motivated by the work of my new neighbors. It started a secret competition of best kept yard. I started by cleaning the back yard. I shoveled the doggie doo doo as I do daily. I raked all the leaves and picked weeds by hand. I arranged all the dog toys into a blue kiddie pool. I cleaned the porch that was covered in dust and dirt by getting rid of wasteful items and old bags of clothes by donating them. I moved on to the front yard and cleared up the garden, raked over 15 bags of leaves, and got rid of sticks and branches that were scattered around the yard.
In the near future, I will be investing in new plants, vegetables, soil, and mulch to start a garden. Now, it is pollen season and the pollen has fallen. That is next on my list.
Essentials :
-Gloves (I used Tillman Trufit)
-Rake
-30 gallon trash bags (family pack at Dollar General)
-Rain boots (optional)
For the inside of the house, I cleaned the refrigerator, the under sink cabinet, and the stove burners. I got rid of a beat up dresser and made better use of the small space. Don’t forget to dust your air conditioner, blinds, and ceiling fan. I used ammonia and a metal sponge to scrub the stove burners.
You will need :
-Clorox wipes
-Sponges
-Ammonia
-White Vinegar
-Dish Soap
-Paper Towels
You find things that you didn’t even know were there. After moving a potted plant, this was underneath.
There you go. Comment your spring cleaning musts and recommendations. Good luck!
